Job Summary:
Candidate should be a BE/BTech Graduates from a recognized university.
Healthcare IT – Specialty Solutions leadership has a vision to develop Next Generation High Acuity Care Solutions while at the same time maintaining current IB.
The Software Engineer has responsibilities towards this as well as extending to the development of systems software within HCIT Specialty Solutions.
This role/position requires developing distributed software applications for Enterprise Class subsystems & Applications in a regulatory environment.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related computer field.
0-2 years' experience in developing software for complex systems or computerized products.
Experience in object oriented design methodology and various programming languages like Java,.Net and/or C++.
Strong Design and Development skills in Java & J2EE.
Prior working experience on Java Web Services - REST (with XML/JSON ), SOAP.
Working experience on Web Technologies like HTML5 , CSS, PHP.
Working experience in UI MVC Pattern like Play , Spring MVC.
Working knowledge of ORM like JPA/Hibernate.
Ability & Interest to work in all layers of software architecture, picking up new technologies as required.
Willing to work across technology tech stacks like Java,.Net, Delphi, VB and databases like SQL Server.
Automated testing experience by using Junit and other testing framework.
Ability & Interest to develop new software modules and/or maintain software by fixing defects across technologies like Delphi, VB, VC++.
Ability & willingness to work on supporting the install base of customers across different product versions.
Working knowledge in configuration management tools.
Desired Characteristics:
Prior experience in developing applications for High Acuity Care areas like ED,OR and ICU.
Prior experience in working on Technical/Customer Support for products in High Acuity Care areas like ED,OR and ICU.
Prior experience in Mobile Technologies.
Prior experience in Java Swing.
Working Knowledge of Integration/System Testing using Selenium/Load Runner/QTP.
Masters Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related computer field.
Experience in software platform, advanced applications, user-interface design and/or systems engineering.
Experience in platform and application development.
Working knowledge of LEAN processing.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop Software that meets customer and business goals. Designing and building testing modules (unit, integration and acceptance tests) for software.
Address customer escalations needing engineering support raised by the Technical Support teams for the product.
Work closely with Tech Support team and Product owners for understanding customer workflows.
Work closely with product owner for requirements understanding.
Work closely with Sr. Engineers in the team for designing software and applications.
Interacting with global teams to promote consistency and maximize synergies across common software platforms & COE's.
Leveraging TDR for software, Agile and Lean software development methodologies to drive quality into the product development life cycle.
Quality Specific Goals:
Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position.
Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines.
Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required.
Support compliance/closure of Regulatory and Quality requirements before completing Design Outputs/Program Deliverables.
Participate in continuous improvement activities by identifying and appropriately escalating process and product quality gaps,providing solutions when possible.
