Job Description:
The Jr. IT Developer/Analyst is responsible for designing, developing and maintaining a variety of engineering systems including Teamcenter, NX, Teamcenter and NX customizations, internal websites, databases, Sharepoint sites and others.
This role will work closely with IT Business Partners, onshore and offshore resources and 3rd parties to deliver world class solutions that exceed the expectations of the business.
In addition to development, the person in this role will be expected to support various systems and perform administrative tasks where necessary.
This individual will need to develop in JAVA.
An understanding of Product Lifecycle Management processes is a plus.
This position is responsible for assisting end users in understanding the technical capabilities of the systems as implemented within Textron, and will be able to advise, demonstrate and assist in order to meet business needs.
To succeed in this role, the individual must be focused on the needs of the business and not on the technical excellence of the code, though exceptional development skills are a must.
Job Responsibilities:
Work closely with other IT team members and end users to provide solutions based on business requirements during all phases of the development process.
Create solutions based on business needs by creating stand-alone applications or enhancing the current applications.
Designing and developing new applications from the ground up including documentation.
Hands on involvement in all aspects of development including requirements, design, coding, testing and QA.
Support other team members on custom applications.
Codes, troubleshoots, debugging, developing user interfaces, build components, optimize code & SQL scripts and tests software application programs.
Review existing applications, and make improvements where possible.
Exemplifies teamwork and fosters a team environment.
Passionate about providing technology solutions to business problems while taking advantage of new software patterns and architectures.
Provide technical and analytical support as it relates to Teamcenter, NX, and other technical solutions.
