Job Description:
Planning, conducting and analyzing simulations and calculations in series development in collaboration with central entities with the aim of optimizing development times and costs.
Job Responsibilities:
A Planning and implementing simulations and calculations;
Defining and stipulating the components for the simulation and calculation with the involved entities.
Determining simulation and calculation methods at an early stage together with developers and central entities in order to ensure efficient deployment in the construction component design in terms of engineering and economic aspects.
Planning, implementing and evaluating FE simulations with the aim of proving design feasibility, testing and realizing component concepts and shortening development processes; proving and covering the physical quality requirements of materials with regard to mechanical and thermal concerns.
Verifying the calculation models in cooperation with the test engineers in order to ensure reliability of the simulation results.
Experience in Preprocessing and Post-processing FE simulation using Hypermesh is a must.
Coordinating and supporting simulations accompanying development;
Preparing simulation assignments taking deadlines and capacities into account.
Comparing the results of calculations and tests, as well as ensuring that an exchange of experience and knowledge takes place with the involved entities.
Evaluating the use of simulation software, modeling methods and model generation in series development; determining potentials for improvement, deriving measures with the central positions if appropriate in order to secure optimum use of the existing tools and methods
Advising series development with regard to design and material-related properties of components; preparing suggestions concerning component design and optimization and the use of material in order to secure quality requirements at an early stage; indicating potential savings to reduce costs (simulation instead of trials) and development times.
