There are now 118 students in the Institute. IIITG is operating from temporary premises in the Assam Textile Institute Campus at the heart of the city. There are two 8 Mbps Internet links. Students and some faculty are staying in a flat complex where 33 flats have been taken on rent by the Institute. Candidate should be a MSc Graduates.
SRF: Masters in Life Sciences/Plant Science/Biotechnology and allied disciplines with two years of relevant research experience in plant molecular biology / tissue culture as evident from publications.
JRF: Masters in Life Sciences/Plant Science/Biotechnology and allied disciplines. Candidates having knowledge of techniques of plant molecular biology / tissue culture will be given preference.
Greenhouse Attendant: HSLC with prior experience of hardening and maintaining plants in greenhouse.

Job Salary: Rs.25,000-28,000/- Per Month
SRF (01): Rs 28,000/- + 20% HRA if SRF is GATE/NET qualified, otherwise it shall be Rs. 18,000/- + HRA.
JRF (01): Rs 25,000/- + 20 % HRA and applicable only if the candidate is NET / GATE / BET / BINC/ SLET/ Professional course qualified, otherwise it shall be Rs 12,000/- + HRA .
Greenhouse Attendant (01): Rs 5,000/- consolidated.
